Current law requires each district school board to establish a comprehensive process for student progression as well as standards for evaluating each student's performance. The student progression plan must be reviewed and revised periodically to ensure that it complies with any changes that may have been made to state law or school board policy and to ensure that the required programs of study, placement, promotion, reporting, retention, and assessment procedures are equitable and comprehensive, thereby providing accountability for all students.
